Ingredients
1. Jelly (Fruit Flavored)

1 packet of fruit-flavored jelly (about 85g)

2 cups boiling water (480ml)

1 cup cold water (240ml)
2. Custard

2 cups milk (480ml)
-
3 large egg yolks
-
½ cup granulated sugar (100g)

1 tbsp cornstarch
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
A pinch of salt
Instructions
๐น Step 1: Prepare the Jelly

In a mixing bowl, pour the packet of jelly powder.

Add 2 cups of boiling water to the jelly powder and stir until it’s completely dissolved.

Once dissolved, add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir.

Pour the jelly mixture into serving glasses or a shallow dish, depending on your preference.

Place the jelly in the refrigerator and chill for 3-4 hours, or until set.
๐น Step 2: Make the Custard

In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam, but don’t let it boil.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

Gradually add a little bit of the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly to temper the eggs and prevent curdling.

Once combined, slowly pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining milk while continuously whisking.

Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens to a custard-like consistency (about 5-7 minutes).

Once thickened, remove from heat and allow the custard to cool slightly. You can transfer it to a separate bowl to cool faster if you wish.

Once both the jelly and custard are cooled, scoop or pour the custard over the set jelly.
