Double Chocolate Coca-Cola Cake

Tip: This rich and decadent chocolate Coca-Cola cake has approximately 400-450 calories per slice, depending on the portion size. It's perfect for special occasions, birthdays, or just when you're craving a sweet and indulgent chocolate treat. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgence!

Ingredients:
For the Cake:

1 cup Coca-Cola

1/2 cup oil

1 stick butter

3 tablespoons cocoa

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

For the Frosting:

1 stick butter

3 tablespoons cocoa

6 tablespoons cream or milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 3/4 cups confectioner's sugar

Directions:
Make the Cake:

In a saucepan, combine Coca-Cola, oil, butter, and cocoa. Bring to a boil.

In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and salt.

Pour the boiling Coca-Cola mixture over the dry ingredients and beat well.

Add the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before frosting.

Make the Frosting:

In a saucepan, combine the butter, cocoa, and milk. Heat over medium heat until the butter melts.

Beat in the remaining ingredients: vanilla extract and confectioner's sugar.

Spread the frosting over the cake while it's still warm to allow it to melt into the cake.

Serve & Enjoy:

Let the cake cool completely before serving, or enjoy it warm with the gooey frosting!

Notes:
Saving Energy: Since the cake is baked at a moderate temperature for a short period, this is an energy-efficient recipe. Using a convection oven can also help reduce baking time and energy consumption.

Health Benefits: While this cake is indulgent, the buttermilk and cocoa provide small amounts of calcium and antioxidants. However, due to the high sugar and fat content, it’s best enjoyed in moderation as a treat.
