Cheesesteak Eggrolls – Crispy, cheesy, and oh-so-delicious!

Tip: These egg rolls are about 200-250 calories each, depending on size. They make a fantastic appetizer or a fun snack for gatherings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (minced)

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 yellow onion, chopped

  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

  • 24 egg roll wrappers

  • 12 slices American cheese (cut in half)

  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Step 1:

  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces about the size of a pea (5-7 minutes). Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir gently, then remove the mixture from the skillet.

Step 2:

  • Melt the butter in the same skillet. Add the chopped onions and green peppers. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and browned (5-7 minutes). Return the beef mixture to the skillet and stir to combine. Let the filling cool while preparing the wrappers.

Step 3:

  • Lay the egg roll wrappers on a flat surface. Place half a slice of American cheese on each wrapper. Add 3 tablespoons of the beef mixture on top of the cheese. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides, wetting the edges with water to seal. Roll tightly.

Step 4:

  • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add 3 to 4 egg rolls at a time and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining egg rolls.

Step 5:

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy these crispy cheesesteak eggrolls!

Notes:

  • Dipping Sauces: These egg rolls pair wonderfully with ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or spicy buffalo sauce.

  • Freezer-Friendly: You can freeze the uncooked egg rolls for later. Just freeze them in a single layer, then store in a bag. Fry directly from frozen, adding an extra minute or two to the cooking time.

These cheesesteak egg rolls are sure to be a hit every time! Enjoy every crispy, cheesy bite! 🍽
