Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

Tip: This flavorful Cajun Honey Butter Salmon has approximately 350-400 calories per serving, depending on the size of the fillet and the amount of butter used. It's a perfect main dish for a healthy, flavorful dinner. Pair it with a side of roasted vegetables or a light salad to complete your meal!

Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets, salted and seasoned to taste

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/3 cup honey

Cajun seasoning (to taste)

2 tablespoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

2 teaspoons paprika (smoked paprika if available)

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper, cracked (or 1/2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

How to Make Cajun Honey Butter Salmon:
In a bowl, combine all the Cajun seasoning ingredients (garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper).

Beat the butter for 2 minutes using an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy.

Blend honey and the cream in a blender until smooth. Combine 1 tablespoon of the Cajun seasoning mix with the honey-butter mixture (you can store the remaining seasoning in an airtight container for up to 3 months).

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel on all sides. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then rub them with oil.

Cook the salmon on a preheated grill or grill pan for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until opaque and crusty.

Once the salmon is cooked, turn off the grill (or stove if using a grill pan). Spread a generous amount of Cajun Honey Butter over each fillet.

Allow the butter to melt for about 30 seconds, then spread it evenly over the salmon using the back of a spoon. Turn the fillets over and repeat the same on the other side.

If desired, garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley and serve immediately.

Notes:
Saving Energy: If using a stovetop grill pan, ensure you have a lid to cover the pan while cooking, which can help cook the salmon faster, saving energy.

Health Benefits: This dish is high in healthy omega-3 fatty acids from the salmon and provides a good balance of protein and healthy fats. The Cajun seasoning adds a flavorful kick without adding unnecessary calories, but be mindful of the butter and honey if you're watching your calorie intake
